Welcome to the Eastern PA Ski Council web site. We’re glad that you found us! It is our intent that this site is here to help you find a great group of people near you, who share the same interest of having fun sliding on the snow.
Our new website allows each member club to directly submit their club’s information. They can post updates, news, photos and much more on their own page. Each club will have one or more web representative(s) who will have access to their club’s page. This is the perfect opportunity for our clubs to showcase their latest events, meeting information and their year round activities to potential members searching the EPSC site.
The website also includes news stories about winter sports and your favorite resorts, as well as upcoming Council events. The Council chairpersons will be able to directly update their sections of the website. Be sure to check back often to see the latest on our Winterfest and Auction, Winter Carnival, Council Day featuring the Council Cup race and our golf outing. For those who take advantage of member exclusive discount lift tickets, we will have a new online ordering form to make your purchases much easier! Club membership also allows access to the many discounts available through the National Ski Council Federation.
Did you miss your club’s latest trip? Club trip leaders will be able to submit a photo for the Home Page Photo Gallery. Want to know the latest status of a club trip? The Trip Finder will allow all trip leaders to submit, edit, add photos and PDFs to their trip’s listing.
If this is your first time, or if you’re a regular visitor, we hope you’ll enjoy navigating through our site. Using the Find a Club link, be sure to locate one of our many clubs near you. By attending a club meeting, you can become a member and enjoy all the benefits that are part of the EPSC, the NSCF and the countless memories that’ll be made among your new friends!
At the May General Membership Meeting, the awards from the past season were announced and the hardware was handed out. This year was no different. The team that won the Carnival Race was the Flying Dutchmen Ski Club A with a time of 233.230. The fastest man was Jim Dolan of the FDSC Club with a time of 24.82 and the fastest woman was Polly Newman of the Austin Skiers with a time of 29.24. There was no Council Cup this year due to the weather so we will have to wait with anticpation for next year.
The Club of the Year went to Upper Bucks Ski Club for the third year in a row.
The Fritz Koenig Award went to Wally Sliwinski
Outgoing President Bob Smith gave three President's Award to:
Maddi Dondore, outgoing Corresponding Secretary, in appreciation for her work in many of the council duties.
JoAnne Landis, Publications and Recreational Ski Program, for her outstanding work with Snow Drifts over the years and leading the Instructional Program
Ken Foster, EPSC Ticket Guy, for above and beyond the duties of selling vouchers over the years.
The evening was full of surprises for these people as the awards are kept hush hush until the meeting.
Congratulations are extended to all of the winners of the evening festivites.
